Courtnell Street

COURTNELL STREET

Background: With an already well established reputation for high quality fit-out, Triton Interiors were invited to deliver a major strip-out and refurbishment of this private residence in one of London’s hottest property spots. The existing property consisted of a 3 storey terraced house with a GFA of 1,400 ft2 which increased to 3,300 ft2 on completion.

  • Project Name:          No. 9 Courtnell St, Notting Hill, London
  • Project Value:          £950k
  • Project Duration:   40 weeks

The Development:

This project involved the extensive remodelling of a 120 year old terraced house formally owned by a well known British actress and situated in the cosmopolitan and affluent area of Notting Hill.

In a time where understandably there is usually a high degree of local sensitivity to major basement remodelling Triton were called upon to sensitively manage major building works elements; comprising extensive propping, demolition of the rear walls and roof, excavation of a basement to a depth of 4.5m forming an area of 1,300 ft2, along with work to the rear and vertical extensions, and the formation of a green roof above the basement at ground floor level.

Once the major building elements were complete (and worthy of note, with no disruption or aggravation to the adjoining properties or neighbourhood in general) the finishing touches were applied, with a high degree of superior quality fixtures, fitting and equipment throughout. As is usually the case with a project of this nature the client will typically insist on a number of bespoke elements, often at short notice and to be contained within the original programme itself; once again Triton stepped up to the mark, going above and beyond normal project delivery principles to deliver on their clients’ exacting requirements. We are proud of what we have achieved as can be seen in the final marketing images above.
