Background: Cau (which stands for Carne Argentina Unica) is the little brother Brand to the Gaucho grill, another Triton customer with over 15 steak-focussed sites across the UK.
Won in competitive tender Triton had previously worked on several sites for this emerging brand and were pleased to deliver yet another step in their development.
The scope of works involved full strip out and opening up works to create a large restaurant area with the addition of the new single storey extension and dining balcony to the front of the unit.
The project presented particular challenges due to it’s Mews location and very restricted site access, with adjacent shops, restaurants and residential premises so the need for a very co-ordinated approach to management of noisy works was critical here along with the very detailed approach to co-ordination of deliveries and distribution and storage of materials with the site confines so as not to impact or hinder any of the local traffic flow and business operations.
A close pro-active approach was also required when difficulties arose in the ground when forming the new extension which entailed a redesign of the structure.
