Doing our best for the planet …​

In an effort to reduce waste and create a more eco-friendly environment, we have introduced the following initiatives to go green and are continuing to think of new ways to improve this regularly.​

After moving to our new offices in Cambridge one of the first changes we made was replacing the light with LED panels.  Followed by installing extra insulation in readiness for the winter months.​

Any IT equipment is recycled when replaced by giving to local schools or charities rather than being sent to landfill.  When equipment is replaced, more energy efficient models are always chosen. ​

As much as possible, whilst still ensuring the safety of data and complying with financial and legal requirements, we are moving more and more towards working in a paperless environment.  All of our documents are now stored on cloud based technology and only printed if hard copies are required.​

Mugs and glasses are used in the office and on sites to stop the use of disposable cups.​

Most of the team that live locally cycle into the office 2-3 times a week rather than drive now and two of the team live in a village approximately 30 miles away and car share.  ​

Recycling bins continue to be placed around the office and on all of our sites.​

Together we can make the planet a better place.​

Welcome to the Team

Triton are proud to announce the recent appointment of Cam Cockburn in the role of Operations Manager.​

Cam joins us with a wealth of experience in the Retail sector with him having worked on the Client side previously.​

He is extremely enthusiastic, very hardworking, dedicated, willing to learn and has excellent organisation skills.  ​

We would like to extend a warm welcome and wish him every success for the future and helping Triton continue to thrive and grow.​

Another Accreditation!

Another Accreditation! And yet another accreditation has been awarded to Triton! In May this year we were awarded Assured Altius Vendor status. The Altius supplier network is a way of proving our high health and safety standards to Clients that also use the system. Clients choose to work with Altius suppliers because the information is consistently monitored throughout the year which is something that similar schemes do not offer. This further adds to the accreditations and associations Triton already have with ISO 9001, Safecontractor, CHAS, CSCS, CITB and NAS.

Triton were egg-cited to be able to help the local wildlife on this project !

When starting an Office Fitout Project in Winnersh, Reading recently our lads showed a much softer side to that of the rugged builder everyone thinks of …..

As part of the external works, brick repairs were required.  When surveying an external area where a brick was missing a nest was found containing 14 very lively, noisy Blue Tit babies !!  The parents had made the nest and when observed from afar were flying in and out providing the babies with food !

An urgent call was made to the RSPCA for advice and then a visit to the local garden centre for a nesting box which was promptly installed immediately next to the cavity and the babies, with their nest intact, were moved.  Within 30 minutes Mum and Dad had found them and continued to feed. 

Within a few weeks all 14 birds left the nest safe and well. 

Rowdies by name Rowdy by Nature!

Whether you want to call it CSR or just taking a real interest in the local community, Triton Contracts have chosen to support a local youth football team called The Rowdies.

Currently in the U11’s Huntingdonshire FA Youth League the boys are performing well and their kit bears a striking similarity to another top performing team who play in Green & White Hoops, something which may have caught the attention of Triton Contracts’ MD, Paul Duffy who just happens to be an avid Celtic fan!!!

Triton wish the lads every success in the season ahead. Keep up the good work and the noise levels!!!

We are moving!

From 27th November 2017, Triton Contracts will re-locate from our current base to new premises in the centre of Cambridge. Our new address will be;

In line with our growth and investment planning we are taking the opportunity to move into the centre of Cambridge providing a more vibrant and connected location for our employees and stakeholders.

Signet Court is a very popular site, set in a courtyard style development of some 25 self-contained buildings, built around two central landscaped areas. It is well positioned for the city centre as well as the A14. It is a popular location and houses a wide range of businesses.

The Triton team are looking forward to moving in at the weekend and taking the next step up in our continued development and growth.

Jack Duffy

New Starter News!

Ensuring we resource in line with our growth plans and continue to deliver great customer service, Triton are proud to announce the recent appointment of Jack Duffy in the role of Quantity Surveyor.

Jack joins us with a number of years experience under his belt already, having spent two years at RG Carter working on two large scale projects in Cambridge, each over £10M;

•Three keyworker accommodation blocks of Cambridge University, built to a very high spec (Code 5 for Sustainable Homes).
•Performing Arts Centre for a private school. Again, very high spec for a highly demanding client.

Further experience was gained taking a placement year with CA Blackwell (Civil Engineering) working on a new road in Ashford – a particularly high pressure job with a very tight schedule.

With a degree from Nottingham Trent University in Quantity Surveying BSc (hons) Jack particularly enjoyed Contract Practice and Law modules. His hobbies include Football, Golf, Gym & Travel.

The Retail Week Interiors Awards celebrate the best in the retail store design and fit-out sector. Celebrating its 20th anniversary these awards have continued to celebrate the creativity and innovation that this great industry is renowned for.

Held on the 2 November alongside the Retail Week Interiors Summit, it is one of the most anticipated events in the retail calendar, providing companies with the opportunity to gain recognition for outstanding achievements in store design.

Here are the Categories for which we have been shortlisted;

  • BEST FASHION RETAIL INTERIOR – alongside CGL for David’s Bridal, Birmingham
  • THE NAS SHOPFITTING EXCELLENCE AWARD
  • BEST STORE FOR FOOD & DRINK – alongside RML Architecture for PAUL , Earls Court

Triton Interiors are proud to announce the successful completion and build out of 8no. residential units in the rural heart of Henley upon Thames, Oxfordshire.

Secured in competitive tender the Triton team got to work planning and procuring the conversion of an historic property once used for Commercial purposes into five one-bedroom and three Duplex apartments across several floors to this site.

Each unit was carefully designed and fitted out to a very high standard with fully fitted modern kitchen and bathroom fixtures fittings and equipment. Stripped back floors, exposed beams and a clean decorative palette completed the look and provide a tempting prospect for these looking to live in this very sought after location.
