In an effort to reduce waste and create a more eco-friendly environment, we have introduced the following initiatives to go green and are continuing to think of new ways to improve this regularly.
After moving to our new offices in Cambridge one of the first changes we made was replacing the light with LED panels. Followed by installing extra insulation in readiness for the winter months.
Any IT equipment is recycled when replaced by giving to local schools or charities rather than being sent to landfill. When equipment is replaced, more energy efficient models are always chosen.
As much as possible, whilst still ensuring the safety of data and complying with financial and legal requirements, we are moving more and more towards working in a paperless environment. All of our documents are now stored on cloud based technology and only printed if hard copies are required.
Mugs and glasses are used in the office and on sites to stop the use of disposable cups.
Most of the team that live locally cycle into the office 2-3 times a week rather than drive now and two of the team live in a village approximately 30 miles away and car share.
Recycling bins continue to be placed around the office and on all of our sites.
Together we can make the planet a better place.
Triton are proud to announce the recent appointment of Cam Cockburn in the role of Operations Manager.
Cam joins us with a wealth of experience in the Retail sector with him having worked on the Client side previously.
He is extremely enthusiastic, very hardworking, dedicated, willing to learn and has excellent organisation skills.
We would like to extend a warm welcome and wish him every success for the future and helping Triton continue to thrive and grow.
Another Accreditation! And yet another accreditation has been awarded to Triton! In May this year we were awarded Assured Altius Vendor status. The Altius supplier network is a way of proving our high health and safety standards to Clients that also use the system. Clients choose to work with Altius suppliers because the information is consistently monitored throughout the year which is something that similar schemes do not offer. This further adds to the accreditations and associations Triton already have with ISO 9001, Safecontractor, CHAS, CSCS, CITB and NAS.
When starting an Office Fitout Project in Winnersh, Reading recently our lads showed a much softer side to that of the rugged builder everyone thinks of …..
As part of the external works, brick repairs were required. When surveying an external area where a brick was missing a nest was found containing 14 very lively, noisy Blue Tit babies !! The parents had made the nest and when observed from afar were flying in and out providing the babies with food !
An urgent call was made to the RSPCA for advice and then a visit to the local garden centre for a nesting box which was promptly installed immediately next to the cavity and the babies, with their nest intact, were moved. Within 30 minutes Mum and Dad had found them and continued to feed.
Within a few weeks all 14 birds left the nest safe and well.
Triton Interiors are proud to announce the successful completion and build out of 8no. residential units in the rural heart of Henley upon Thames, Oxfordshire.
Secured in competitive tender the Triton team got to work planning and procuring the conversion of an historic property once used for Commercial purposes into five one-bedroom and three Duplex apartments across several floors to this site.
Each unit was carefully designed and fitted out to a very high standard with fully fitted modern kitchen and bathroom fixtures fittings and equipment. Stripped back floors, exposed beams and a clean decorative palette completed the look and provide a tempting prospect for these looking to live in this very sought after location.
A job well done and one which our team can be rightly proud.
A former city centre shopping arcade in the centre of Birmingham has been totally transformed by Triton working in close conjunction with AJ top 100 architect, Child Graddon Lewis, to provide the latest stunning location for David’s Bridal, a leading US Bridalwear retailer currently rolling out sites in major city centre locations across the U.K.
The new store is over 1400sqm across a single floor and is designed to create a relaxing and enjoyable experience for the Bride and her party as they shop for her big day! One side of the store is entirely devoted to the extensive range of Bridal dresses and the other to occasion, prom and bridesmaid dresses, each with its own suite of dressing rooms. The centre of the store features a large accessories shop. There is also an extensive alterations studio with its own fitting and work room.
The Triton team are proud of their achievements on this project, won in competitive tender and are looking forward to be invited to tender and work with David’s Bridal again in the not too distant future.
Survival of the Fittest!
In March 2017 the Triton team headed out to Euroshop one of the world’s largest trade fairs for retail investment requirements held every 3 years in Düsseldorf.
With 2,368 exhibitors from 61 nations and over 113,000 visitors the Triton boys managed to get through 18 exhibition halls extending over 127,000 m² of exhibition space and that was just the daytime; with a lot of the Retailers, Suppliers, Contractors and Consultants then descending on the Old Town for an evening of ‘networking’ and sampling the local food and drink; a true test of stamina and determination. The team managed to cover three days of the exhibition and saw the latest innovation in retail design for products and interiors alike, meeting a number of good contacts and enjoying the spectacle that comes from hosting such a large scale event.
With the sheer scale and extent of this event it is no surprise it is only held every three years but the team are already looking forward to a return visit in 2020.
Following on from several projects completed for a very well known National pub chain the Triton team through hard work and diligence continued to competitively bid on a number of packages and their patience has paid off with the award of a multi-site refurbishment programme.
Focussed in and around the South East, the Triton team were charged with delivering the re-investment roll-out work across 10 sites with a very quick turnaround time allocated to the majority of the sites, minimising the effect on a chain which has very extended opening hours putting pressure on delivery and programme time when on site.
In the main a varied scope of works comprised the fit-out and refurbishment to staff rooms, front of house toilets, bar reconfigurations, decorations and several garden schemes.
The fast pace of the site time allocated to each project coupled with the multiple locations kept the Triton team busy but they completed the work to the delight of the client and marked another step forward in our relationship with this client. Cheers!
